Sinclair Animal & Household Care
Originally built by the Rose brothers, and was used to manufacture gears for cars and during the wars parts for the RAF, even having a connection to supplying materials for the Dambusters and Lancaster bombers.
It was then sold to Sinclair Animal & Household Care when the Rose division was sold. Sinclair used the land and factories to manufacturer air fresheners, home hygiene and insect control products. In 2015 UDCS ltd were contracted by Sinclair to demolish the factory and various other buildings onsite due to the rising maintenance and running costs of the commercial warehouses.
The scope of the works included the demolition of commercial warehouse buildings down to ground level and the removal of floor slab and foundations which were crushed down to 6F2.
The project took 5 weeks to complete and was completed within the contracted programme utilizing 2 excavator drivers, Supervisor and 5 skilled operatives.
